Our tips for gifting well
Don't double up on their equipment. An enthusiast already has their headlamp and knife. Aim for the accessory that goes with it (a sharpening stone, a coffee mug) or the nicer version (titanium, merino).
The knife, a gift apart. Giving a knife is a tradition, but it is carried on oneself under certain conditions: it is a Category D weapon, whose carrying and transport require a legitimate reason, such as a hike or a bivouac.
Patches to complete. For a few euros, an embroidered patch to stick on the bag makes an excellent little extra gift.
