Tunnel Tents
Tunnel Tents
Parallel poles, maximum living space for the weight. The tunnel design offers more usable space than a dome of comparable mass, with more vertical walls.
The trade-off is that it is not freestanding: it must be guyed out to stand, and oriented with the small end facing the wind. Set up correctly, it withstands wind better than a dome; set up poorly, much less so.
