Belts

Belts

A tactical belt does not have the same job as a city belt: it holds up your trousers, but above all, it carries gear. Holsters, magazine pouches, pockets—everything that adds weight to the waist rests on it.

Hence the two-layer architecture found on good models: an inner strap worn through the belt loops, and a rigid outer strap that attaches to it via hook-and-loop fasteners. You can remove your equipment in one motion without undressing, and the load no longer causes the belt to sag.
