The Field version of the Guardian administrative pouch, in infrared-treated PL Woodland camouflage. It retains all its organizational features: a hook-and-loop adapter for a communication phone, transparent sleeves for maps and notes, a flat pocket for a notebook or compass, an elastic loop for a marker, and a zipper that opens the compartment completely for a flat workspace. Field items in PL Woodland camouflage are NIR-treated, also known as IRR: the fabrics and visible components are selected to absorb, reflect, and transmit near-infrared radiation in the same way as woodland, which reduces silhouette contrast under night vision devices. Each material is tested with a spectrophotometer in the laboratory and in the field.
