3 L country water filter
Ships within 3 to 5 business days.
This filter uses a principle employed by the British Army during World War II: a suspended, tightly woven cotton bag that retains mechanical impurities as the water drips through. It holds 3 litres, hangs from a branch by its cord, and the cord features a pin, which eliminates the need to tie a knot with cold hands. What this filter does, and what it does not do, must be clear: it removes particles and suspended solids; it does not make water potable. After filtering, the water must still be boiled or chemically treated. Its true role is to prevent clogging a fine filter or dirtying a cooking pot with sediment-heavy water.
Highlights
- 3 litres suspended: filtration happens on its own while you set up camp
- Cord with pin: attaches to a branch without needing to tie a knot
- Pre-filtration, not purification: it traps particles; boiling or tablets remain essential
