Earmor
Earmor M20 Electronic Earplug
Active hearing protection without the headset. The M20 does the same electronic job as a headband, within two earplugs that disappear under a helmet or a hood.
What the electronics do
They cap loud noises at 82 dB and amplify low sounds beyond what the naked ear picks up. You stay protected from gunfire without being cut off from the conversation. NRR 22 rating.
Clear Voice Tracking technology specifically targets voice recognition within what the microphone captures.
Three sizes of eartips
This is the decisive point for an earplug: attenuation depends entirely on the seal in the canal. Three sizes are provided; try them rather than guessing.
The eartips are rated water-resistant and robust, and the unit is IPX4 rated.
Battery life
Up to 8 hours, with a battery-saving mode.
Why this format
No headband, so nothing under a helmet, nothing to interfere with shouldering a rifle, and a size that fits in a pocket. It is the choice of discretion and compatibility.
Charging case and polymer earplugs, some metal components.
The NRR rating is a laboratory-measured value on properly positioned equipment. A poorly fitted earpiece or an improperly inserted eartip will provide significantly less protection.
