Sleeping near a fire and sleeping under a tarp are two pleasures that conflict: the smallest spark pierces ordinary fabric. This version of the Supertarp is designed for this exact situation. The 139 g/m² coated nylon offers increased resistance to sparks and brief contact with flame, reducing the risk of waking up to a hole. This sentence should be read exactly as it is: the fabric is not flame-retardant, and prolonged exposure to fire will damage it. For the rest, it is a serious shelter: 2.53 m by 2 m, 19 reinforced anchor points, taped seams, compression straps for folding, and a stuff sack that accepts the fabric while it is still wet.
