These are replacement lenses, not a pair of glasses. They replace lost, misplaced, or damaged original lenses.

VLT 15%: Full Daylight

Only 15% of light passes through the lens. This is the lens to be used outdoors in strong sunlight - and removed as soon as the light diminishes.

The smoke tint absorbs the spectrum evenly: it reduces the amount of light without favoring a specific wavelength. Colors are perceived accurately and reflections are eliminated.

For which glasses

The XL-1 Advanced Comm ballistic series from Wiley X - the model with thin temples designed for use with earmuffs.

The other available tint

A set of clear lenses with VLT 89% is available for the same series, for night and indoor use. Many people own both and switch according to the time of day.
