Two lenses provided, covering day and night. This is the minimum useful configuration for field glasses, and it comes standard.

The two lenses

Smoked, VLT 15% - full daylight. A neutral grey that absorbs the spectrum uniformly: colors remain perceived at their true value and reflections are cancelled.
Clear - night, indoors, overcast. Protection without loss of light.

Between the two, coverage from dawn to dusk without carrying a second pair.

Military specification

The MIL-PRF-32432A tests a .15 caliber projectile launched at 702 to 724 km/h. This is the American ballistic requirement, of a completely different order than European impact grades.
