Wiley X WX Ozone Silver Flash

Silver mirror lens, VLT 14%. This is the most reflective finish in the Ozone range, and the darkest of its versions.

What the flash finish offers

The mirror treatment reflects some of the incident light before it enters the lens. Filtering is done in two stages - some reflected on the surface, the rest absorbed by the tint - rather than all supported by the mass of the lens.

Silver is the finish that reflects the most. A desired side effect: from the outside, the gaze is not visible.

VLT 14%

Fourteen percent of the light passes through the lens: this is a high-brightness lens, one point darker than the polarized smoke version of the Ozone, which is 15%.

The lens and its coating

Unbreakable Selenite polycarbonate, extruded, cut and then thermoformed. The hard coating resists scratches and fogging.

This is a real difference from the brand's Captivate sun range, which receives an oleophobic and anti-reflective treatment but no anti-fog. Here, fogging has been prioritized.
