Vector Optics Forester 7x50 Binoculars
The 7x50 is the brightest format available in standard binoculars. It has been the navy's choice for a century, for two reasons that have not changed.
The first reason: the exit pupil
50 divided by 7 equals 7.1 mm. This is wider than what a human pupil can accept, even when fully dilated in the dark. The practical consequence: at dusk, these binoculars deliver everything the eye is capable of receiving. A 10x42, with its 4.2 mm, provides significantly less at the same time.
The second reason: stability
At 7x, hand shake is practically invisible. The image remains steady, which allows for prolonged observation without fatigue—even from an unstable platform, such as a boat or a stationary vehicle.
What it costs
Less magnification. At 7x, you cannot read a license plate at three hundred meters. The 7x50 is not designed for magnification; it is designed to see clearly when light is scarce and to hold a steady view.
Construction
Classic format and ergonomic design for a comfortable grip during long observation sessions.
If you are looking more for detail in broad daylight, the Forester 10x50 or the Paragon 10x42 in our catalog offer more magnification.
