Traser
Traser P6600 Type 6 MIL-G Nato
A case within a case. This construction defines this watch: an outer composite shell and an inner steel container.
The double shell
The exterior is made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic: lightweight and non-magnetic, it absorbs shocks by deforming. The interior is a steel container that protects the movement.
The composite absorbs, the steel holds: each does what it does best.
The standard
The watch exceeds the MIL-PRF-46374 G, the latest version of the U.S. military specification for service watches.
Water resistance
200 meters, or 20 bars. This is diving-grade, not just "splash-resistant."
The bezel
Bidirectional rotating, made of PVD-plated steel in green. PVD is a vacuum deposition process, much harder than paint: it is what lasts on a part that is handled constantly.
Nighttime readability
Black dial. The illumination is color-coded: green for indices 1 to 11, orange for the 12, green for the hour and minute hands.
The orange marker at 12 o'clock allows for instant orientation of the dial, without searching.
