Streamlight Sidewinder Aviation

Four LEDs in a single housing: white, green, infrared, and blue. The Aviation version differs from the Military by only one thing - its second color.

Aviation or Military: only one LED changes

Aviation (this one): white, green, IR, and blue.
Military: white, red, IR, and blue.

Everything else is identical: same body, same weight, same waterproofing, same battery life. The choice depends on the color required by your procedures.

The infrared LED

Invisible to the naked eye, it illuminates the scene for those wearing night vision devices. You can illuminate without being seen - and the battery life reaches 200 hours, compared to 5.5 hours for the white LED.

The modes

Each LED operates at 5, 25, 60, or 100% power, plus a strobe mode. Announced battery life of at least 5.5 hours in white light and up to 200 hours in infrared.

The 5% setting is more useful than it seems: it allows for very close illumination without glare or revealing one's position.

Construction

Injection-molded, shock-resistant polymer housing, notched surfaces for grip. Multi-layer anti-scratch polycarbonate lens.

IPX7: waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes, shock resistance to 3 meters.

Power supply

Two AA batteries, alkaline or lithium - the latter performing better in extreme temperatures. A metal cable retains the battery cap.
