Streamlight
Streamlight ProTac 90-X
An angled flashlight that clips onto a vest and lights the way ahead without occupying a hand. The ProTac 90-X takes the form of the classic "moonbeam" tactical flashlight and brings it up to today’s technical standards.
Why the body is angled
The 90° head allows the flashlight to be worn flat against your gear. A steel clip attaches it to PALS webbing, a belt, or a harness: leaving both hands free.
Three levels and a strobe
- 65 lm - 42 m beam, 21 h runtime (CR123A) or 24 h (SL-B26)
- 300 lm - 91 m beam, 4 h (CR123A) or 4 h 45 (SL-B26)
- 1000 lm - 171 m beam, 2 h 30 (CR123A) or 1 h 45 (SL-B26)
- Strobe - 2 h 30 (CR123A) or 3 h 30 (SL-B26)
The mode order can be reprogrammed using the TEN-TAP procedure: you can set the low level to come on first rather than full power.
Power supply
Two CR123A batteries, or a single SL-B26 rechargeable battery. This 2600 mAh lithium-ion battery charges via USB Type-C, lasts for 500 cycles, and includes protection against deep discharge.
What it can withstand
CNC-machined housing made from 6000-series aluminum alloy, matte black anodized. Sealed construction, IPX7 rated: submersible to 1.5 m for 30 minutes, and resistant to 2 m drops. The LED is rated for 50,000 hours.
