Why such a dim red LED?

Zero point two lumens seems minuscule. That's precisely the goal: very low intensity red light allows you to read or handle objects without destroying the eye's adaptation to darkness, which takes twenty to thirty minutes to rebuild after white light.

And at this power, the battery life extends to 65 hours.

The battery

Integrated non-replaceable battery, rechargeable approximately 300 times, protected against deep discharge. Digital anti-overcharge circuit. Full charge cycle in 2.5 hours.

Water resistance

IPX4: resistant to rain and splashes, as well as 1-meter drops. Injection-molded polymer body.
