Princeton Tec Quad Tactical

Four white LEDs, and three filters for changing color. This is a different approach than multi-LED lamps: a single source, and lenses that you interchange.

The filters

Three lens filters - red, blue, and green - are included, with a quick-replacement system. You choose your color according to the task, without having paid for four different emitters.

The levels

• Low: 8 lm, 17 m range, 60 hours
• Medium: 20 lm, 25 m range
• High: 78 lm in wide beam, 50 m range, 8 hours

The low mode at 60 hours is the one that counts for bivouacking: two and a half nights of continuous light on three stick batteries.

The controls

A single rubberized button on the top.

Durability

Injection-molded, impact-resistant polymer body. IPX7 rating: waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes - rare at this price point.

Powered by three AAA batteries, alkaline or lithium.
