Princeton Tec
Princeton Tec Charge MPLS RGIW
The green version of the MPLS Charge. Red, green, and infrared: this is the only point that distinguishes it from the RBIW, which replaces green with blue.
Why green
The human eye is more sensitive to green than to any other color. At equal power, a green beam appears brighter than a red one, while remaining significantly less visible from a distance than a white one.
Four LEDs
One Maxbright white LED, and three 3mm Ultrabright LEDs - red, green, and infrared.
Documented modes
- Low color: wide beam, 6m range, 46 hours
- High color: 10m range, 23 hours
- High white: 55 lm, 30m range, 4.5 hours
The flexible boom
It positions the light source exactly where needed on a helmet, and keeps it there.
Durability
Impact-resistant, injection-molded polymer. IPX7 rating: waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
A single AA battery or its rechargeable equivalent - they can be found anywhere. Controlled by a rubberized side button.
