The US Army poncho, in its Helikon ripstop polyester version. Waterproof, quick-drying, and above all versatile: side snaps allow you to close the sides to form sleeves, or to join two ponchos to make a shelter. The hood tightens with a drawstring. When folded, it fits into a 14 x 22 centimeter pouch, making it small enough to permanently stay at the bottom of your bag without you even thinking about it.
