The flap closes with a hook-and-loop strip and ends with a non-slip grip that can be grabbed while wearing gloves. It is fully detachable for use in an open configuration, with the contents then held by an elastic cord: the same pouch thus serves for training and situations where speed is a priority. The reinforced front facilitates magazine insertion and extraction. MOLLE/PALS mounting, drainage hole at the bottom.
