550 paracord is the most versatile cordage there is, and this one is made in the USA. Thirty meters, 4 mm in diameter, 249 kg breaking strength, 206 grams. Its unique feature lies in the core: seven independent strands housed in a braided sheath. By removing the strands from a length of cord, you get eight distinct threads—several times the starting length in thin string, enough to sew, lash, or set a line. This is why it is always carried. The colors are dyed to be colorfast, and the nylon is UV and mildew resistant. Please note: this cord is not intended for human safety or climbing.
