Outdoor Research Halberd Gloves

Gloves designed for warmth. Everything about the Halberd is intended to wick away sweat rather than provide insulation—this is the design requirement for hot environments.

Ventilated back

Stretch polyester mesh - 95% polyester, 5% elastane, on a knit backing. It wicks away excess heat and draws perspiration away from the skin. It allows half the hand to breathe freely.

The palm

Perforated synthetic suede, 60% nylon and 40% polyurethane, with added reinforcements and non-slip silicone grips.

The perforation provides ventilation, the reinforcements withstand abrasive rock and sand, and the grips hold whatever you grab. This isn't leather: it's a synthetic material that is lighter and dries faster.

Touchscreens

Thumb and index finger feature conductive synthetic suede. Use a phone, tablet, or GPS without removing the gloves, and thus without exposing your hands.

• Pre-curved construction, which follows the natural position of a closed hand
