Nimrod
Nimrod Ammo Box - Large
What matters in an ammo crate is the seal. Humidity damages primers, batteries, and electronics far more surely than an impact.
The airtight seal
The box is advertised as airtight by the manufacturer. This is what distinguishes it from a simple storage bin: humid air does not get in, and whatever you put inside stays dry between trips.
The volume
340 x 180 x 220 mm internal dimensions, which is about 13 liters. Enough to store ammunition, magazines, BBs, tools, or small electronic gear.
The material
Injection-molded polymers, durable. Injection molding produces a single-piece shell, with no joints to fail.
The compromise
The manufacturer aims for a balance between sturdiness and lightness: a metal crate provides equal protection but weighs much more, and rusts.
The catalog offers the same box in a medium size, 290 x 130 x 180 mm.
