Midland
Midland G9 Pro
One hundred and one channels, and AA batteries you can find anywhere. This is the G9 Pro compromise: many frequencies, and no reliance on a proprietary battery.
The channels
- 69 LPD channels
- 32 PMR channels
- 38 CTCSS tones
CTCSS is a filter: the radio only comes out of silence if the received tone matches its own. This is what allows several groups to coexist on the same channel without hearing each other.
Power supply
Four rechargeable AAA batteries or a dedicated battery pack. When you're out for several days without electricity, knowing that a set of batteries is enough to keep going changes everything.
The dual PTT button
Two transmission buttons, usable interchangeably with either hand.
Features
- Scanning of the frequency range
- Automatic squelch
- Battery indicator and power save mode
- Backlit screen
- VOX: voice-activated transmission
- Headset/speaker connector and belt clip
What the "Pro" changes
Larger screen, improved ergonomics, and reworked electronics compared to the original G9.
The PMR band can be used without a license or subscription. The same model is also available in a camouflage version in the catalog.
