Midland
Midland G15 Pro
The only radio in the range rated for immersion. The IP67 rating is what sets the G15 Pro apart from other Midland models in the catalog, and it is often the reason why it is chosen.
What IP67 guarantees
The 6 certifies total dust protection, while the 7 certifies immersion. For a radio used in the rain, on a boat, or in the forest, this provides a level of protection far superior to simple splash resistance.
Channels and tones
- 32 PMR channels
- 50 CTCSS tones
- 105 DCS tones - exclusive to this model in the range
CTCSS and DCS tones are used to avoid hearing other groups on the same channel: the radio remains silent unless the received tone matches its own. With two systems instead of one, there are thousands of possible combinations.
Functions
- Scan of the frequency range
- Automatic squelch
- Battery indicator and power save mode
- Backlit display
- VOX: the radio transmits by voice, without pressing a button
- Headset/speaker connector and belt clip
Power supply
Dedicated 7.4 V / 1600 mAh battery, housed in the rear panel.
What the "Pro" changes
Compared to the original G15: larger screen, revised ergonomics, and reworked electronics.
The PMR band can be used without a license or subscription.
