What the mid-cut upper provides

It protects the ankle from twists and impacts, seals the top of the boot against stones and mud, and remains flexible enough to walk quickly. A high-cut upper offers more support but causes fatigue over long distances; a low-cut upper provides no support.

The sole

LOWA X-TRAC Military, shock-absorbing, with Slip Resistance technology against wet and icy conditions. Injected sole, combined with the Monowrap construction that wraps around the foot: stabilization, protection against impacts, and structural rigidity.

The membrane

GORE-TEX: makes the boot waterproof while allowing perspiration to escape. This is essential for walking all day in any weather.
