The high-cut design is the choice for those carrying heavy loads. The more weight on your back, the more ankle support you need – and that is exactly what this height provides.

What the high-cut design changes

It supports the ankle throughout its entire height, which limits twisting on unstable terrain and when under load. It also completely seals the top of the boot: no pebbles, brambles, or snow can get in.

The trade-off is well-known: more weight and less flexibility. On roads and in hot weather, the Mid and Lo versions in our catalog are more comfortable.

The sole

LOWA X-TRAC Military cushioning, featuring Slip Resistance technology for wet and icy conditions. Injected and paired with the MONOWRAP frame, which cradles the foot and gives the boot its stability, impact protection, and rigidity.

The membrane

GORE-TEX: waterproof and breathable, it wicks moisture outward.
