Hydrapak Pioneer 10L

Ten liters of water for three hundred and sixty grams of container. The ratio is clear: the 10L Pioneer weighs less than 4% of what it carries.

What ten liters allows

This is for base camp rather than hiking: you fill it up once at the source, and the group drinks, cooks, and washes without having to go back. To carry water on your person, the 6L model in our catalog is more reasonable.

The ripstop shell

Abrasion-resistant ripstop nylon, which protects the flexible film from friction against the ground and prevents tears from spreading. This is the part that determines the lifespan of a camp reservoir.

Filling

Redesigned and widened Slide-Seal opening, for quick filling and hand cleaning.

The cap, and what it accepts

Compatible with 28 mm water filters - the narrow thread, the kind used for screw-on filters. Not to be confused with the 63 mm on the 8L Expedition.

The format

When empty, it flattens and rolls up, whereas a ten-liter jerrycan remains bulky until you get home.
