High gaiters protect your pant cuffs and the tops of your boots from snow, mud, and sharp grasses, and most importantly, prevent water from getting into your boots. These are made from Cordura, with rear inserts in VersaStretch, a four-way stretch fabric composed of 93% nylon and 7% elastane: the gaiter follows your calf instead of compressing it, which makes all the difference on a long hike. The top opening is adjustable with an elastic cord. The wide side opening is closed with a hook-and-loop strap, allowing you to put them on without removing your boots. A sturdy hook attaches to your laces, and the under-sole strap is adjustable, made of Hypalon and textile.
