The Field version of the Kangaroo flap, in PL Woodland camouflage treated for near-infrared (NIR) performance. It features a large box pocket lined with hook-and-loop fastener, which can accommodate either the Law Enforcement insert or Competition system inserts, rather than having a fixed configuration. Its soft hook-and-loop surface receives the insert flaps and allows the cummerbund to be attached directly to the flap, eliminating the need to detach it every time you put it on. Field items in PL Woodland camouflage are NIR-treated, also known as IRR: the fabrics and visible components are selected to absorb, reflect, and transmit near-infrared radiation in the same way as undergrowth, reducing the contrast of the silhouette when viewed through night vision devices. Each material is tested using a spectrophotometer in the laboratory and in the field.
