Pair of side panels connecting the front and back of a vest. The design is universal, making them compatible with plate carriers other than the Guardian. The structural mesh used ensures actual ventilation of the flanks, even with equipment mounted on them, whereas solid fabric turns the cummerbund into a heat zone. The surface features a sewn-on MOLLE/PALS modular system, and hidden beneath the straps is a non-slip Hypalon skeleton panel: this stabilizes the carried equipment and provides rigidity to the cummerbund. Attached to the vest via hook-and-loop fasteners, with non-slip Hypalon handles for a firm grip when fastening or unfastening. Size M: 49.5 × 12.5 cm, 7 MOLLE cells. Size L: 53.5 × 12.5 cm, 8 cells.
