Gorge Folding Shovel

A shovel, a pickaxe, and a hammer in 23.5 centimeters folded. The Gorge combines three functions without weighing as much as three tools.

Folding

A push-button releases the sliding handle. It's done with one hand, without any screws to loosen or nuts to find in the grass.

41.9 cm deployed, 23.5 cm closed.

The handle

Glass-filled nylon with a rubber overmold. Lighter than steel, and it won't freeze your hands.

Three uses

• Shovel, for digging;
• Pickaxe, for hard, compacted soil;
• Hammer: once the shovel blade is folded back, the textured head can be used to drive in tent stakes.

Transport

A nylon drawstring bag is included. The size is well-suited for bivouacking and hiking, where a full-sized shovel isn't necessary.
