Gator Machete Jr
One blade, two edges, two uses. That is what sets the Gator Machete apart from an ordinary machete, and the Junior keeps that entire concept in a size that fits in a pack.
The two sides of the blade
- A fine edge for cutting brush and vines—clean cuts with a sweeping motion
- A saw blade for branches, thick limbs, and small trees—where a fine edge would bounce off
You flip the blade instead of changing tools.
The Junior size
It is shorter and easier to pack than the Gator Machete. It’s the right compromise when every gram counts: less reach, less inertia, but a machete you actually carry rather than leaving at camp.
The construction
Blade in high-carbon steel—it holds an edge better than stainless and is easily resharpened in the field, in exchange for maintenance to prevent rust.
Textured rubber grip: on a tool you swing at arm's length, grip is what matters above all else.
As robust as the full-size Gator Machete, according to the manufacturer.
