ESS
ESS Striker XT Tactical Goggle
The same certifications as the ESS mask twice as expensive. The Striker XT states exactly the same list of standards as the Land Ops - for a significantly lower price.
The standards, side by side
CE EN 166 grade B, ANSI Z87.1-2003 high velocity, MIL-V-43511C and US federal OSHA. This is the Land Ops list, identically.
Grade B of the EN 166 standard corresponds to medium energy impact - the expected level of a protective mask, above grade F.
What you don't find here
To be fair: the Land Ops adds night vision compatibility and a ventilation system that filters dust from the incoming air. If these two points matter to you, the price difference is justified. Otherwise, the declared protection is the same.
The lens
2.4 mm ballistic polycarbonate, treated with ESS Advanced ClearZone FC - anti-fog and anti-scratch. The manufacturer states that the lenses can withstand the direct impact of a .22 LR bullet.
It fits over your prescription glasses
The frame is wide enough to accommodate most corrective glasses, including large models. No need for a corrective insert, no compromises to make.
Standards declared by the manufacturer
CE EN 166 (B), ANSI Z87.1-2003, MIL-V-43511C, OSHA, and 100% UVA and UVB filtration.
