ESS Striker Clear Lens

This is a replacement lens, not a pair of goggles. You receive the lens only, to be mounted on a frame you already own.

VLT 90%, protection without tint

Ninety percent of light passes through the lens. This means it removes nothing from the scene: it offers ballistic protection and anti-fog, with no compromise on brightness.

When it is necessary

At night, indoors, in a workshop, under cover. In these conditions, even a slight tint becomes a handicap: it removes information instead of providing it.

The manufacturer states it has no influence on contrast or colors - it is the reference clear lens in the series.

The lens to keep by default

For a goggle you don't know when you'll wear it again, clear is the choice that never goes wrong: it doesn't hinder during the day and becomes essential at night.

On which goggles it mounts

The entire Striker series and the entire Striketeam series: Flight Deck, Land Ops, Vehicle Ops, Tactical XT, Striketeam XTO, Striketeam SJ, Striketeam WF, and X-Tricator.

Thickness and treatment

High-strength 2.6 mm polycarbonate - thicker than the brand's goggle lenses, which are 2.4 mm.

ClearZone FlowCoat treatment: anti-scratch on the outside, anti-fog on the inside. The two sides do not undergo the same aggressions, so they do not receive the same treatment. 100% UVA and UVB filtration.

The three lenses in the series, by VLT

Clear - VLT 90: indoors and at night, no influence on contrast or colors.
Hi-Def Yellow - VLT 85: flat to very low light, high contrast lens.
Smoke - VLT 15: medium to strong light, versatile daytime use.

VLT is the percentage of light that passes through the lens: the lower it is, the darker the lens.
