The EN 166 (B) marking is the key information to remember. The letter in parentheses is the impact grade of the European standard: B corresponds to medium energy impact, the required level for a protective mask, above grade F.
What the protection covers
Reinforced polycarbonate lenses of 2.4 mm. The manufacturer indicates that this mask goes beyond the most demanding impact tests in its category, its lenses notably resisting the direct impact of a .22 LR caliber bullet.
It is among the rare ballistic protections whose use is authorized in the American armed forces.
It fits over your prescription glasses
This is a point that few masks genuinely address: the frame is wide enough to accommodate most corrective glasses, including large models. No need for corrective inserts or intermediate solutions.
Ventilation does two things
It evacuates hot and humid air - this is what prevents fog from forming, prior to the surface treatment.
It filters incoming air from dust particles. In an open vehicle or on dry ground, this is what keeps vision usable.
Night vision compatible
The geometry of the mask leaves room for a night vision device. The angles are rounded over almost the entire perimeter.
Lens treatment
ESS Advanced ClearZone FC: anti-fog and anti-scratch. Perimeter foams for comfortable fit on the face.
Standards declared by the manufacturer
CE EN 166 (B), ANSI Z87.1-2003 high velocity, MIL-V-43511C and US federal OSHA. 100% UVA and UVB filtration. Foliage Green color.
