ESS Crosshair Replacement Lens

This is a replacement lens, not a pair of glasses. You receive the lens only, to be mounted on a frame you already own.

Four tints, four uses

Clear - night, indoor, overcast. Protection without loss of brightness.
Smoked - full daylight. A neutral grey that doesn't shift colors.
Yellow - flat light. A contrast lens, not a sun lens: it barely darkens.
Copper - a warm tint, which retains more separation in greens and browns than a neutral grey.

It's not limited to the Crosshair

Despite its name, this lens is compatible with Crossbow, Crosshair, and Suppressor frames. This is the principle of the Cross-Series platform: lenses are interchangeable between frames.

Compared to the Crossbow lens

The Crossbow replacement lens is compatible with the same three frames, offers a fifth tint - bronze - and its manufacturer's specifications also state the MIL-PRF-32432A standard. It is also a little more expensive.

If the military standard is important to you, consider that option. Otherwise, this one does the same job for less.

Manufacturing

High-strength 2.4 mm unbreakable polycarbonate, extruded, cut, then thermoformed. The surfaces receive a hard anti-scratch and anti-glare coating.

ESS modular technology allows tool-free changing: this is the whole point of buying a lens rather than a second complete pair.
