ESS
ESS Crossbow Polar One
VLT 15%. This figure determines the use: only 15% of light passes through the lens. This is a frankly dark lens, made for high brightness.
What VLT means
VLT, or Visible Light Transmission, is the percentage of light that passes through. The lower it is, the darker the lens. At 15%, we are in the range of full sun lenses - not to be kept at dusk or indoors.
Polarized, not just tinted
Tint reduces the amount of light; polarization specifically eliminates light reflected from flat surfaces. The two are combined here: less overall light, and above all, no more white glare on water, asphalt, or a window.
The DedBolt lock
It pivots upwards to release the lens, then closes and holds it under impact. A change of tint is still possible: this pair is a configuration of the Crossbow platform, not a closed model.
The Tri-Tech Fit frame
An adjustment designed to suit almost all adult body types, non-slip and without pressure points. ESSOPTICS distortion-free optics across the entire field.
