ESS
ESS Crossbow 3LS Kit
The DedBolt lock is what sets the Crossbow apart. It pivots upwards to release the lens with one movement, then closes and holds it under impact. Changing lenses requires neither tools nor force.
Why a lock instead of a clip
On many glasses with interchangeable lenses, what holds the lens is what makes changing it difficult - or vice versa. The DedBolt separates the two functions: immediate opening on one side, mechanical tightening on the other.
The lens thickness
High-strength 2.4 mm polycarbonate, 100% UVA and UVB filtration. It is this thickness that carries the ballistic classification, not the surface treatment.
The Tri-Tech Fit frame
A fit designed to suit almost all adult physiognomies, with non-slip support and no pressure points.
The lens treatment
ClearZone Dual Flow Coated: two distinct treatments, one per side. On the inside, an anti-fog; on the outside, an anti-scratch that withstands aggressions from the field. The two sides do not undergo the same stresses, they do not receive the same treatment.
ESSOPTICS corrects distortion across the entire field of vision - which is important on a curved lens, where poorly controlled optics distort the edges.
A system, not an isolated pair
The Crossbow shares its components with the rest of the range: it accepts Crosshair lenses and is complemented by Suppressor frames optimized for wearing hearing protection. ESS corrective inserts are also compatible.
Shades available in the range
Clear, smoke grey, Hi-Def yellow, Hi-Def copper, Hi-Def bronze, polarized and laser protection.
Standards declared by the manufacturer
ANSI Z87.1+, CE EN 166, MIL-PRF-31013 and US federal OSHA.
