ESS
ESS CrossBlade Standard LPL-5
This is the laser reference for which the manufacturer declares the European standard. Across the entire CrossBlade range, few datasheets explicitly mention CE EN 166 - this one does.
The wavelength processed
Laser protective screen at 532 nm, the wavelength of the most common green pointers and designators.
If your exposure also includes blue-violet lasers from 405 to 445 nm, consider the CrossBlade One Laser references, whose screen covers both ranges.
What this protection covers, and what it does not cover
The treatment reduces exposure to the wavelengths indicated above. This is not universal laser protection: a wavelength different from those announced is not covered.
For a defined laser risk in an industrial or medical environment, specific laser protection standards apply, not the ballistic and industrial standards cited here.
Contents
Black CrossBlade frame, standard size laser screen, black nose pad and microfiber pouch.
The Tri-Tech Fit frame
Firm hold, no pressure points, preserved air circulation. This allows you to wear the glasses for several hours without having to readjust them.
Screen treatment
ClearZone Dual Flow Coated: two distinct treatments, one for each side. Inside, an anti-fog; outside, an anti-scratch that withstands the rigors of the field. The two sides do not experience the same stresses, so they do not receive the same treatment.
ESSOPTICS corrects distortion across the entire field of vision - which is important on a curved screen, where poorly controlled optics distort the edges.
Interchangeable screens
Compatible with Crossbow, Crosshair and Suppressor frames.
Standards declared by the manufacturer
MIL-PRF-32432A, ANSI Z87.1-2015, US federal OSHA, and CE EN 166.
