ESS
ESS CrossBlade One STD Laser LPL-5
One lens, the one that matters. Direct laser configuration, without spare lenses - and without their price.
Two Wavelength Ranges
Green 532 nm and blue-violet 405 to 445 nm. This provides broad range coverage: the most common green pointers, and blue-violet diodes that many competing lenses ignore.
What This Protection Covers, and What It Doesn't
The treatment reduces exposure to the wavelengths indicated above. This is not universal laser protection: a wavelength different from those advertised is not covered.
For a defined laser risk in an industrial or medical setting, dedicated laser protection standards apply, not the ballistic and industrial standards cited here.
Standard or NARO Fit
This reference features the standard fit lens. The same configuration is available in a NARO fit, at the same price: the difference is in the geometry of the lens and frame, not in the laser protection, which is identical for both.
The NARO has a low-profile, open design, intended to fit under a helmet or cap without creating pressure points. Try it if you can: between the two geometries, it's the face that makes the difference, not the specifications.
Contents
Black CrossBlade frame, standard laser lens, black nose pad, and microfiber pouch.
Lens Treatment
ClearZone Dual Flow Coated: two distinct treatments, one for each side. Inside, an anti-fog coating; outside, an anti-scratch coating that withstands field aggressions. The two sides do not face the same constraints, so they do not receive the same treatment.
ESSOPTICS corrects distortion across the entire field of vision - crucial for a curved lens, where poorly controlled optics distort the edges.
Interchangeable Lenses
Compatible with Crossbow, Crosshair, and Suppressor frames.
Standards Declared by the Manufacturer
MIL-PRF-32432A and ANSI Z87.1-2015.
