ESS CrossBlade One Black Frame

This is the entry-level CrossBlade model. Same frame, same lens treatment, and same standards as the series' laser references – without the laser lens, and therefore without its price.

The three stated standards

ANSI Z87.1-2015, CE EN 166, and MIL-PRF-32432A. This is one of the rare CrossBlade models whose manufacturer's specifications explicitly mention the European standard in addition to the two American ones.

The frame, injected and perforated

High-strength polymer, low-profile, and skeletonized design. It interacts with a helmet or cap without creating pressure points, while maintaining enough tension to be worn alone.

The gray tinted lens

A neutral gray: it reduces brightness without shifting hues. Colors are still perceived accurately – which is important when a color code needs to be read correctly.

The lens treatment

ClearZone applies two different treatments, one for each side: an anti-fog on the inside, and an anti-scratch on the outside. The two sides are not subjected to the same aggressions, so they do not receive the same treatment.

ESSOPTICS corrects distortion across the entire field of vision, including the edges of a curved lens.

One lens, multiple frames

CrossBlade lenses are compatible with Crossbow, Crosshair, and Suppressor frames. What you buy here is not locked to this one pair.
