ESS CrossBlade Naro Replacement Polarized Mirror Lens

This is a replacement lens, not a pair of glasses. You receive the lens only, to be mounted on a frame you already own.

VLT 15%, and two stacked treatments

Only 15% of light passes through this lens: it's a full-sun lens. But tinting is only half the job.

Polarization removes light reflected from flat surfaces - water, glass, car hoods, wet roads - without darkening the rest of the scene.

The mirror coating reflects a portion of incident light before it enters the lens. Filtering is done in two stages rather than relying entirely on the density of the lens material - and from the outside, your eyes are not visible.

NARO Geometry

NARO format lens, low profile. Compatible with Crossbow, Crosshair, and Suppressor frames.

Compared to the non-mirror version

The CrossBlade Naro Polarized, sold for almost the same price, offers the same polarization in smoke gray without a mirror finish - and its manufacturer's specifications declare three standards instead of one, including CE EN 166.

The choice is therefore between the discretion of the mirrored look on one hand, and a more comprehensive declaration of conformity on the other.

Manufacturing

High-strength, unbreakable 2.4 mm polycarbonate, extruded, cut, then thermoformed. The surfaces receive a hard anti-scratch and anti-reflective coating.

ESS modular technology allows for tool-free changing: that's the whole point of buying a lens rather than a second complete pair.
