ESS CrossBlade Naro Replacement Polarized Lens

This is a replacement lens, not a pair of glasses. You receive the lens only, to be mounted on a frame you already own.

Three standards declared on this lens

ANSI Z87.1-2020, CE EN 166 and MIL-PRF-32432A. This is the most comprehensive list of all ESS replacement lenses in this range - most only mention one.

For a purchase in Europe, the CE EN 166 mention is the one that matters, and it is rarely explicit on lenses alone.

Polarized, in smoke grey

Polarization eliminates light reflected from flat surfaces - water, glass, hood, wet road - without darkening the rest of the scene. The white veil disappears, and what was behind it becomes visible again.

The grey tint does not prioritize any part of the spectrum: colors remain true.

NARO Geometry

NARO format lens, low profile. Compatible with Crossbow, Crosshair and Suppressor frames.

Compared to the mirrored version

The CrossBlade Naro Polarized Mirror, sold for almost the same price, adds a green mirrored finish that hides the eyes - but its manufacturer's sheet only declares the ANSI standard. It's up to you to see what is most important.

Manufacturing

High-strength 2.4 mm unbreakable polycarbonate, extruded, cut then thermoformed. The surfaces receive a hard anti-scratch and anti-glare coating.

ESS modular technology allows for tool-free changing: that's the whole point of buying a lens rather than a second complete pair.
