ESS
ESS CrossBlade Naro Laser LPL-532 Three Lens Kit
The NARO format with the green laser lens. A low-profile, open frame, designed to be worn with a helmet, combined with protection against the most common pointers.
The wavelength treated
Laser protection lens at 532 nm - the green of the most commonly encountered pointers and designators.
For coverage also including blue-violet from 405 to 445 nm, see CrossBlade One Laser references.
What this protection covers, and what it doesn't cover
The treatment reduces exposure to the wavelengths indicated above. This is not universal laser protection: a wavelength different from those announced is not covered.
For a laser risk defined in an industrial or medical environment, dedicated laser protection standards apply, and not the ballistic and industrial standards cited here.
What the NARO format offers
A low-profile design, injected in high-strength polymer, which interacts with headwear without creating pressure points. The tension remains sufficient for wearing without a helmet.
The content announced by the manufacturer
Black CrossBlade frame, NARO Laser LPL-532 lens, black NARO nosepiece and microfiber pouch.
Lens treatments
ClearZone Dual Flow Coated: two distinct treatments, one for each side. On the inside, anti-fog; on the outside, anti-scratch that withstands the rigors of the field. The two sides are not subjected to the same stresses, they do not receive the same treatment.
ESSOPTICS corrects distortion across the entire field of vision - which is important on a curved lens, where poorly controlled optics distort the edges.
Interchangeable lenses
Compatible with Crossbow, Crosshair and Suppressor frames.
Standards declared by the manufacturer
MIL-PRF-32432A, ANSI Z87.1-2015 and federal US OSHA.
