ESS CDI Polarized Grey

Polarized, not just tinted. The distinction is not a matter of intensity but of nature: a polarizing filter removes specific light instead of darkening everything.

What Polarization Removes

Light reflected from a flat surface - water, glass, a car hood, a wet road - is polarized. The filter eliminates it without affecting the rest of the scene: the white glare disappears, and what was behind it becomes visible again.

A simple tinted screen, on the other hand, darkens both the reflection and the target proportionally. The contrast does not improve.

Polarized Grey or Polarized Blue Mirror

The range offers both. Grey is neutral: it does not shift colors, making it the versatile choice. Blue mirror adds a mirrored finish that reflects some light from the surface and conceals the wearer's eyes.

The Lateral Exchange System

The lenses can be changed from the side, without tools. This is what has defined CDI from the start: you adapt the tint to the ambient light instead of changing glasses.

SmartTension Hinged Temples

A cam hinge adjusts the temple tension: you adapt the fit to the shape of your head instead of enduring a single tension.

What Stays Put When You Sweat

Temples and nose bridge made of non-slip rubber, which maintains its grip even when wet. This is what makes the difference between wearing your glasses and having to push them back up.

The Frame

Nylon, extremely lightweight and virtually indestructible. Medium fit.

High-resistance 2.2 mm polycarbonate, interchangeable, distortion-free optics, 100% UVA and UVB filtration, ToughZone anti-scratch coating.

All models share the same frame and mechanism: the price is determined by the number of lenses, the tint, and the frame color.

The manufacturer claims high-resistance lenses meeting US military specifications, without citing a standard number for the CDI range.
