ESS CDI Polarized Blue Mirror
Two treatments stacked on the same lens. Polarisation acts on reflected light, the mirror acts on the surface - they do not do the same job.
Polarisation, on the inside
It removes light reflected by flat surfaces - water, glass, hood, wet road - without darkening the rest of the scene. The white haze disappears and what was behind it becomes legible again.
The mirror, on the surface
It reflects a portion of the incident light before it enters the lens. Filtering is therefore done in two stages rather than relying entirely on the bulk of the glass.
A frequently sought-after side effect: from the outside, the gaze is not visible.
Mirror blue or polarised grey
The CDI Polarized Grey offers the same polarisation in a neutral grey tint, without a mirror finish. If you want colour fidelity above all else, this is the one; if you are also looking for discreet vision, this is the one.
The lateral exchange system
The lenses can be changed from the side, without tools. This is what has defined the CDI since its inception: you adapt the tint to the current light instead of changing glasses.
SmartTension hinged temples
A cam hinge adjusts the tension of the temples: you adapt the tightness to the shape of the head instead of enduring a single tension.
What stays on when you sweat
Temples and nose bridge in non-slip rubber, whose grip is maintained even when wet. This is the difference between wearing your glasses and pushing them up.
The frame
Nylon, extremely light and almost indestructible. Medium fit.
The lenses
High-resistance 2.2 mm polycarbonate, interchangeable, distortion-free optics, 100% UVA and UVB filtration, ToughZone scratch-resistant coating.
Note: ToughZone is a durability treatment, not an anti-fog. For anti-fog, it's the Crossbow range and its ClearZone FlowCoat.

Smoke Gray, Matte Olive frame - 1 lens, the entry-level.
CDI, Black frame - clear, smoke, or Hi-Def yellow lenses available.

Standard declared by the manufacturer
The manufacturer announces high-resistance lenses with US military specifications, without citing a standard number for the CDI range.
