Earmor MaxDefense M06A
Twenty-four decibels of attenuation, without a battery. That is the principle of the passive headset: nothing to switch on, nothing to recharge, nothing to break down at the wrong time.
Protection
NRR 24 rating, meaning a nominal attenuation of 24 dB. This is one of the best figures in the range, and it holds up without electronics.
The trade-off is clear: a passive headset attenuates everything, including voices. If you need to continue communicating, the active models in the catalog are what you should look at.
Gel inserts
The padded ear cushions feature gel inserts. The gel conforms to the shape of the jaw and eyeglass frames, where firm foam would leave gaps. It therefore improves attenuation as much as it does long-term comfort.
Materials
Headband and ear cups in high-quality polymers, with some metal parts. Universal size.
Shooting range, workshop, construction site: anywhere the noise is loud and constant.
The NRR rating is a value measured in a laboratory on properly positioned equipment. An ill-fitting ear cup or improperly inserted earplug will provide significantly less protection.
