The Field version of the horizontal double magazine pouch, in infrared-treated PL Woodland camouflage. The function remains the same: two magazines carried horizontally on the back of the vest, where space is usually wasted, with ambidextrous access and a circumference adjustable by elastic band that adapts to various types of magazines. What changes is the fabric treatment. Field items, in PL Woodland camouflage, are NIR-treated, also known as IRR: the fabrics and visible components are chosen to absorb, reflect, and transmit near-infrared radiation in the same way as undergrowth, which reduces the contrast of the silhouette under a night vision device. Each material is checked by spectrophotometer in the laboratory and in the field.
