The only D3O kneepad in the catalog to feature a reinforced layer. This explains its price, and it is the only point on which it really differs from the others.

The extra layer

In addition to the non-Newtonian polymer, there is a reinforced polymer layer. It provides two things: increased protection and, above all, superior durability—it is what takes the abrasion from gravel and concrete, and what determines the lifespan of the protection.

The D3O principle

The material mimics a non-Newtonian fluid: its viscosity varies with the force applied. Flexible while walking, it stiffens upon impact to absorb the shock. This allows for protection that you don't feel until you need it.

Ventilation

The element is perforated to increase airflow and improve ventilation.

Mounting

It slides into the pockets provided in the trouser legs, without straps or tightening.

Compatibility and material

Anatomically molded shape and increased flexibility: it fits into the pockets of many commercial tactical trousers. The material is temperature stable over a wide climatic range.
