Why a three-point suspension?

In a suspended tent, the cold comes from below: air circulates freely under the floor and carries away body heat. A classic sleeping pad flattens out and is not sufficient. The insulating blanket conforms to the shape of the floor and cuts off this convection, which extends the usable season by several months.
